Free Finnish School Visit Tasting

VisitEDUfinn is now giving everyone a chance to visit a Finnish classroom, free of charge! Our Free Finnish School Visit Tasting is for everyone who would like to get a “taste” for what happens in a Finnish classroom. You will have the opportunity to interact with a Finnish teacher and other participants, and gain a better understanding of the basic principles of Finnish education.

During the Tasting, you will be able to observe real classroom action through Zoom and have dialogue with the teacher. The visit lasts approximately one hour, and afterwards the Zoom link will remain open for the participants to network, share, and discuss what questions arose during the short sampling of Finnish education.

Each visit has a different theme and different teachers, so you will learn something new during each Tasting Visit. However, as the name indicates, these visits are only for getting a small taste– there is no pedagogical expert hosting the event or explaining how everything seen in the classroom is related to Finnish education. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you familiarize yourself with the basics of Finnish education beforehand. On our website, there are free materials and links. In addition, we have Online Courses about Finnish education.

For those hungry for more after our tasting, we offer longer School Visits both online and onsite, and Job Shadowing experiences. Ultimately, if you crave a full-course experience of Finnish education, you are welcome to join our Study Tours in Finland.

IMPORTANT! These visits are not recorded, so please do not register unless you are able to attend the live session.

Thanks a million!

A huge learning experiment in Helsinki

Dare to Learn is a completely new, interactive and international event for learning enthusiasts, experts and practitioners who are willing to shake their thinking of learning. At the event, you participate different workshops and hear keynotes from, e.g., Pasi Sahlberg, Kirsti Lonka and The Finnish Minister of Education and Culture, Sanni Grahn-Laasonen.

Dare to Learn is bringing together different learning professionals. We believe solutions for tomorrow’s learning challenges can be solved the best by bridging gaps between different experts and practitioners. When teachers talk to adult educators, entirely new ideas and even innovations can take place. At its core, Dare to Learn conference is about where the future of learning is going. What kind of learning and training will the changing world need?

Finland, as a land of quality education, is a fruitful ground for this event. We have a strong culture of innovation and a low hierarchy society that enables people to connect rather freely. Both are needed at Dare to Learn. Yet, Finland is facing the same issues than the rest of the world. The speed of change is huge. We believe learning is the key to keep up, to transform, and to maintain sustainable wellbeing. Dare to Learn is all about supporting and creating those new learning concepts and practices.

Dare to Learn is organized by young professionals aiming to make an impact through a non-profit organization accelerating lifelong learning. The event is widely supported by Finnish educational actors, such as the Ministry of Education and Culture.
